Cristopher Mendez is an award winning tattoo artist based in Valencia, Spain, specializing in neo-traditional and illustrative color tattoos.
His dedication to and passion for watercolor painting has enabled him to develop his own style of art from paper to skin.
He would describe his tattoo style as full color neotraditional with solid lines and vibrant colors, and a love for animals and nature.
He is an internationally recognized artist who travels frequently to tattoo conventions throughout the world, where he has won many awards (check out his upcoming events here).
Over the last few years, his fame and popularity have led towards a demand for him to paint tattoo convention posters, always in large scale with watercolor paints.
In 2025, Cristopher published his first book "Pura Vida", with over 100 of his paintings from the last ten years, brought together in a beautiful A3 hardback with 128 printed pages. You can purchase a copy here.

WATERCOLOR PAINTINGS
When Cristopher isn´t tattooing, he can usually be found painting. His passion is large watercolor pieces, usually featuring animals, nature and skeletons with an art nouveau and neo traditional influence. All his paintings are available to buy as Glicée prints on fine art paper (acid free and 100% cotton) and printed on an EPSON SureColor P8000, to give the look and feel of the original painting and provide a high level of quality, longevity and value compared to a standard print. TATTOO CONVENTION POSTERS
Since 2022, Cristopher has painted around 16 watercolor paintings as posters for international tattoo convention which have taken place in 9 different countries throughout Europe and Latin America. Each painting takes him around 80-90 hours of work. Here are a few examples, you can check out more here.
PURA VIDA
In 2025 Cristopher published his first book, Pura Vida, with over 100 of his paintings from the last ten years, brought together in a beautiful A3 hardback with 128 printed pages.
The book is sized A3 (42x30cm), with a hardback, gold stamped cover (front, spine and back). The pages are printed on high quality GardaPat Kiara 150gr paper, with a total of 128 printed pages. The text is in English and Spanish.
